  • Volunteer Opportunities

     

     

    Youth – Move It After School Program Leader – Volunteer once a week from October to March at an elementary school’s after school program. Days and times vary depending on the school. Volunteers are responsible for set-up and clean-up, running activities, preparing snacks, and other duties as assigned by program facilitator. Training takes place early October with the program beginning the week of October 12-16. This activity is eligible for use towards community involvement hours.

    Adult/Youth – Get W.I.T.H. It program – Volunteer on Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings starting in November in Elgin from 5-7pm. Volunteers are needed to register new participants. This activity is eligible for use towards community involvement hours.

    AdultGood Food Box Host-Site Coordinators – Good Food Box program is already in 8 communities, but to make the program more accessible to the community, establishing new host-sites is possible with the help of volunteers. Host-site coordinators are responsible for taking orders and payment, dropping orders off to CRCHC, and distributing orders from the host-site.

    AdultSenior Exercise Group Leader – Lombardy: Lead participants through a set of 10 exercises. Training is provided and this program is co-lead with another volunteer.

    Senior Exercise Group Leader – Portland: Lead participants through a class consisting of cardio, strength building and stretching exercises. Training is provided and this program is co-lead with another volunteer.
